A tribute to Todd

Manhattan Center Studios, NYC 1997

Todd Wachsmuth spent his career as a music producer and engineer.  In the 90's, Todd worked in many NYC big budget recording studios including Right Track, Manhattan Center Studios, Platinum Island, and Sony Studios.  A few of Todd’s engineering credits include live sound for TV such as VH1’s Live at the 10 Spot and engineering for high profile artists such as Timbaland, Jay-Z, and Wynton Marsalis.  With the evolving 90’s music scene, Todd was on the cutting edge of combining elements of pop music with R&B and hip hop he coined as “pop-hop”.  In the 2000’s, Todd’s "pop-hop" tracks became more influenced by bands from his college years such as Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode.  Todd sadly passed away in 2012 before fulfilling his creative potential.  His catalog of music is still relevant today and his sprit lives on in KDS.  The music will always live on.
